Levinson-Axelrod has learned that Kent Hospital in Rhode Island has settled a lawsuit brought against it by Hollywood actor James Woods, whose brother died in the facility in 2006. If someone you love has been the victim of insufficient medical care, the New Jersey malpractice lawyers of Levinson-Axelrod may be able to help you get the financial compensation you deserve.

According to the terms of the suit, Woods’ brother was admitted to Kent Hospital complaining of vomiting and a sore throat, before dying of a heart attack. The hospital settled with Woods for an undisclosed sum, apologized to the Woods family, and will contribute $1.25 million over the next five years to developing the Michael J. Woods Institute, dedicated to reducing human errors in the medical community.
