An Army wife has been awarded $6 million after medical malpractice lawsuit that claims that the Army hospital delayed her cesarean section which caused her daughter to have delayed oxygen to the brain.
The lawsuit claims that this incident caused the daughter to suffer from cerebral palsy. The lawsuit states that the woman’s midwife told the doctor at the hospital that the woman needed to do a C-section, but the doctor told the woman to keep pushing.
This then lead the child to not receive oxygen to her brain. The infant had to remain in an incubator for a month after birth.
