The family of an 88-year-old woman has filed a wrongful death lawsuit in the case of her death. The New Jersey woman passed away from Vitamin D poisoning after drinking a herbal health drink on a regular basis for three months.
The woman developed severe kidney problems and also suffered heart problems during that time. According to the creator of the drink, Gary Null, the manufacturers of the supplement powder had added too much Vitamin D into a batch, resulting in each serving of that batch containing one million units of Vitamin D instead of 1000 units.
By the time of her death, the woman had consumed 60 servings of the tainted mixture. Numerous other people who had drank the mixture from the irregular batch also came forward with similar complaints, and several of them have been hospitalized with kidney infections.
